A Twelve Step Program for Worldaholics Anonymous: The Way to Shape a More Compassionate World

In this day and age, the world is more connected than ever, with frequent flights to any destination you can think of, and seemingly each day new social networks to take on the already more than 2.2 billion strong Facebook (Desparte, 2018), yet it seems the world has become more closed-minded, more unempathetic, lacking compassion. … [Read more…]

From the Founder (Our Story)

I started my ministry with this in mind: Living and providing God’s Word in all facets of life and respecting and learning from everyone and everything. I grew up without religion and my atheist views became cemented by the news I would hear of intolerant groups spreading hate instead of love in God’s name. I began attending a church for my daughter because she was a believer and wanted me to go. What happened next was the beginning of my journey with Jesus and my life-changing call to ministry. This church showed me that God’s love is real and is everywhere. I grew to understand the Bible in a whole new way, and no longer saw hate in the words, but love and understanding.
As a Christ-follower, the number one thing in this life is to live it with love: Love for God and love for others (Matt 22:36-40). With this in mind, I began to contemplate and pray on what my call to ministry would look like. I remembered Christ’s Great Commandment and also the Old Testament Proverb: The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding (Prov 4:7 NIV). The more I continued through life, the more I realized we need to not only love one another, but to understand one another.
I started this ministry to not only spread the word of Jesus, but to learn and grow with all walks of life, from the firmest believer of Christ to the most staunch atheist, because we are all God’s children, and He loves us all and wants all of us to speak to one another.
James Schofield Ministries will always follow a mission to learn and grow from every walk of life and to hopefully provide guidance and understanding of the word of Jesus. -James Schofield, Founder
